Beautiful building and incredible views of the New York-New Jersey area.
Although I've lived in NJ most of my life, I only learned about this castle about 5 years ago and finally took the time to visit. The castle was cheerfully decorated for Christmas, which added to the charm. There are many period furnishings and decorative objects around the castle. The signs provide interesting insight into Mr. Lambert, as well as his family, business and general industrial life during Paterson's heyday. The exterior and the grounds are well maintained, and the interior is nicely preserved.
Great place for photos... but if you want to do a photo shoot here, there will be many (many) others with the same idea... best bet go early in the AM. And the museum is a great place to visit also.
I took my friend to the Christmas craft fair held at the castle each year. Parking is limited, and it was super crowded (maybe because it was a Saturday) but it was definitely worth going, even just to browse
Very nicely decorated for the holidays. Christmas sale going on now. Lots of crafts and goodies.
